I wanted to share something from a few months ago. GDB's San Rafael campus had a group of five dogs from the same puppy group come in on the same recall day. They all went into the same kennel together and during community run, it was obvious that they all knew each other. They came all the way from Texas from the
Lone Star Puppy Raising Group. It is very rare to have so many dogs coming from the same group and I had a fantastic time watching them all play together. They all played very appropriately with each other and boy did they LOVE the pool!

I'm not completely sure on their current progress through training because I don't get the phase reports but when I go back to GDB next week, I am hoping to find them continuing on their path to becoming guide dogs!
what a great picture of all the texas pups. Do you only work with the big dogs or do you get to see the baby pups too
ReplyDeleteI only work with the older dogs who go through the training department. But I get to see (unfortunately not play with) the puppies every time I am on campus. They are often having playtime during our breaks and it is so fun to watch! Sure can't beat that!
